The Manifold Conservation Society and Rostran Archipelago Confederacy launch a brief campaign against the New Cobalt Protectorate in retaliation for the attack on strategic weapons reserves during the Pale Hands Crisis. This culminates in the use of Project: Millenial Rain on Protectorate holdings in and around New Evermorn. Unbeknownst to the RAC and MCS, the Protectorate's actions were benevolent in intent; unbeknownst to the RAC and Protectorate, the MCS plans to use the New Cobalt Protectorate as a scapegoat for the Society's later use of weaponized billowing hate.
