Knucker

The Knucker is the smallest species of Ormr, known to inhabit fjords and rivers. With mouths full of needle-like teeth and the ability to unhing their jaws, they are powerful predators. Able to grow on average up to 16 feet, and weigh over 320 pounds, a knucker is serious threat to children swimming and a group can tear a man to shreds.   They make their dens in waterside hollows called "knuckerholes" with enterances located below the water's surface. They are the only Ormr known to be able to move on land and they can be seen sunning themselves on rocks during sunny afternoons.   Their limbs are somewhat intermediate between walking legs and flippers, with a high degree of flexibility and muscular strength that allows them to move about fairly comfortably on land, similar to seals.
