Lembas Bread

Lembas, also called Elven bread or Waybread in the Common Speech, is a special travel-food made by the Elves and those that have learned their ways by attaining the Bake Lembas Bread spell. The recipe calls only for salt, water, and flour and creates 4 pieces of lembas bread, each one capable of feeding a medium sized character for 24 hours. Together the 4 pieces weigh one pound.

Description

The bread is very nutritious, stayed fresh indefinately when wrapped in fresh leaves, and was used for sustenance on long journeys. Lembas is light brown on the outside, and the color of cream on the inside. It was made of meal that was baked thin and crisp. Many think it is cram until tasting it and finding that it is sweet and pleasant, unlike cram. It could also be described as a "wafer" in terms of texture. Its recipe spell is a closely guarded secret, and only on rare occasions is it given to non-elves.
