Midsommar
Held on the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year, Midsommar is a festival belonging almost entirely to the most peaceful members of a given community: its children, its mothers, its elders, and its young men and women not of a mind to go viking. It's marked by taking a break from other duties to offer sacrifices to Freyja, drink, consume toadstools, dance around the Maypole and is considered a good time to fall in love or to have a match made.
