The Jötnar

The Jötnar (singular: Jötunn), commonly known as Giants, are the most ancient race who emerged from Ginnungagap. They are native to Jötunheim, Muspelheim and Niflheim, but are also known to inhabit other realms such as Midgard, Asgard and Vanaheim. They have long been at war with The Æsir. There are many varieties of Jötunn-kind, including Frost Giants, Fire Giants, and Stone Giants.
