Crystelec

Different types of material in a tight tetrahedron shaped formation of nanostrands. The strands are capable of keeping a large capacity of energy. Alchemists and physics have proven that the stored energy can be released in several forms, but so far we are only capable of releasing the energy stored in the strands as electrical current. Different colors have different currents, energy flow and capacity. There is reason to believe that there are more shapes that can hold even more energy.

Properties

Material Characteristics

it's comparable to sand-like quartz it has Piezoelectric, triboluminescent, chiral and some are racemic

Physical & Chemical Properties

it feels like glass with sharp edges. When connected to copper rods it will release energy. the rods will heat up due to energy flow, but the crystelec gets cooler when mrepower is drawn.

Geology & Geography

the tunnels are created in sandy regions of the desert. there seem to be more tunnels and more variants nearby the Sanyak Sea (aka Sea of Sands)

Origin & Source

the material is a skin excrement from the spitworm. It eats the silicate (sand) and adds (magical) an acid emulsion to lubricate the skin while digging a tunnel. the lubricant then penetrates the walls and hardens them forming the crystals.

Life & Expiration

the crystal becomes brittle after a few years of continue usage. (high powerdraw has no effect on the structure.)
Type
Nanomaterial
Odor
it is odourless when not used, but the same smell as when a thunderstorm has passed can be smelled (ozone)
Taste
it has no taste, but the electrical current can give a salty taste.
Color
color is determined by the density, light reflection and/or refraction index of the material that forms the tetrahedon shape
Melting / Freezing Point
melting 1,670 degrees Celsius (3.038 degrees Fahrenheit)
Density
2.75 gm/cm3
Common State
solid
