Rift Wars

Rift Wars were the bloody period when the dimensional rifts first opened. Chaos begets chaos, and different dimensions started warring with each other nearly instantly - taking closer to a hundred years before any sort of peace was found. It required both co-operation between majority of the dimensions, as well as sacrifices of countless heroes.

The heroes that ended the Rift Wars were numerous - hundreds of adventurers, and thousands of nameless soldiers - too many to name in a single book or page. If you ask from different dimensions, they might give stories of their local hero who helped with the end of the Rift Wars.

After the main warring dimensions were finally subdued, and the armies ceased with the pillaging and destruction of the innocent worlds, a council was formed, and a sacred pact created - The Dimensional Peace Pact that helps prevent this kind of things happening again.



There are still some horror stories from the longer living creatures - such as elves and dragons - about the invasions and destruction that once ravaged the world, but most have forgotten just how catastrophic of an event this truly was. The names of the dimensions that started their pillage first have seemed to be forgotten and scrubbed from public knowledge and memory, as well...
