Hamptown isn't known for much, but every year after harvest this quiet hamlet swells to a bustling city. Farmlands pitch glamorous tents, making way for the temporary denizens who come to watch the Owlbear Rodeo.
What began as a small celebration the season before the frost has grown to become the event of the season. The bard Caspar of Grey Company sung to taverns and townsfolk across Vesthal of the merriment and fantastic strength of the Owlbear riders. The song brought the curious who sought to test their truth. Once verified the word spread all the way up to the nobles, which brings us dear reader to what the Owlbear Rodeo is today--a celebration amongst neighbors transformed into a demand for a lavish tourist attraction.
