Rainbow Starlight Energy Plant

A (super)natural source of radiation, light or heat The Rainbow Starlight Energy Plant is the main utility center and power plant for the city of Gardinya Lyra.  It is located on the north end of the Old Pastel Town Neighborhood District near the Old Lake Docks.  The more modern-looking building, all glass and heavy steel colonnades, sticks out like a sore thumb against the pale classical architecture of the rest of the Old Pastel Town Neighborhood.  In any other neighborhood, it would be an eyesore the neighborhood's population would complain about, but in the relatively older, poorer, and more dilapidated part of town, no one had enough political clout for those complaints to be heard.  Besides the plant needs to go somewhere, and everyone knew when it was built in 1920, that it wouldn't be going in any of the nicer places in town.  
The Rainbow Starlight Energy Plant converts the relatively new resource of Rainbow Starlight into energy to power the city.  While more dangerous work, rainbow starlight is at least a more efficient and renewable resource for power, providing homes in the city with more available power than the old coal plant, and without all that nasty air pollution too, that used to hang in the air of the Old Pastel District making living there very unpleasant.  Work at the plant does pay well and even though it is dangerous, it is one of the more desirable jobs for citizens of that neighborhood.
