The Eyes Of The First Born

The Eyes of the Firstborn are five artifacts that contain what remains of Khyber's power on the Planescape. Should they all be united they could potentially allow him to break free of the world that binds him.
The Eyes themselves resemble large crystal balls about a foot in diameter, using one on its own can allow one to look back at events that happened anytime in the past of the location it is used in, with the added benefit of no risk of becoming an Allip.
Despite this power the Eyes are still dangerous, should one use it to look at a being of great power (Gods, Archfiends, Powerful mages, Shadows, etc.) they will become aware of their presence should said entity still be alive. If they have the power this can lead to them using magical effects like detect thoughts, or even charming spells.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

While attuned to one of the Eyes, the user can see an event back in time as long as it knew of the event and is in the area that said event took place. The user's senses in the real world are nullified.  This event is only an observance and the user cannot interfere with the events that took place, the user can see the event starting at a point chosen by the DM and lasting from 10-40 seconds (depending on length of event). If there is a creature in the observance that has significant enough magical or occult power and is still alive in the present, it can feel the user probing through it's memories and is capable of stopping the passage of time in the observance. The creature can also attack the user until the observance ends, if the user dies in the observance it is knocked out of the observance and PERMANANTLY loses 1d10 points of health, this health loss can only be removed by a Wish or Divine Intervention.

History

One is a part of the bishop's throne in East Sycoin. "Lies in the second half of a shattered nation, Upon a throne of Fool's Gold" One is on the island to the north of East Sycoin. "Another tightly guarded by a ruthless sentinel, on a secluded island nigh the seas of ice" One WAS in the Cathedral Of Silence in the Ferreti wilds, but is now held in the Yavona Historical Conservatory. "The third in a great stone shrine where no tongue can speak, deep in a untamed land no mortal man may claim" The forth is in Mount Pyrias. "Yet another in a peak of fire that's never blown, but shattered by what lurks within" The last one is in the Candlehead's stronghold in the shadowfell "The last in a land of shadow in a tower of metal of flame"
