Oracle

"I have seen many things, hope victory. The only thing that I have never seen is an end to this eternal war," Azaraa said.
The Oracles served the Guardians of the Peace with their gifts of Precognition and seeing the future. Before the fall of the Guardians of Peaces at the end of the Separatist War There were two Oracles a trainee named Azaraa Hado and a more senior Oracle named Rolmar Prolin. As the war dragged on both noticed that the leadership of their organization weren't listening to their foresight that their order was going to be betrayed and fall.

Qualifications

Oracles are gifted with Precognition and can see the future usually hope in the misted of disaster.

Requirements

All Oracles have a Mark of Power that they are either born with, which is called a Destiny Mark, or they develop the power on their own over time. It is also believed that they are given their power by a god who is often believed to be RimulanZasem the Son, or Tesara the Daughter and this gift seems to come to anyone regardless of age.

Appointment

When an Oracle is identified they are brought to the Jagerio Council where the Oracle is asked to use Precognition to foresee an event that should happen shortly so it is easy to test. The Oracle needs to predict the event accurately and if it is a coming disaster must use the gift to prevent it from happening. Once the trial is finished the Oracle is recognized and is given honorary access to the Council to advise them on future events.

Duties

Oracles are rarely just that in the overall Guardians of the Peace organization. Rolmar Prolin and Azaraa Hado are both Jagerio Knights but some Oracles have also served the organization as Jagerio Councilors. When this occurs the Oracle adds the duties of the Oracle to that of their normal duties. The new task that they have is to foresee the future and advise the Jagerio Council.

Responsibilities

In addition to the responsibilities of whatever the Oracle is also they are tasked with mediating regularly and advising the Jagerio Council on what they see in the future.

Benefits

The benefit of being an Oracle is almost unrestricted access to the Jagerio Council so the Oracle can advise them. However, as the Guardians of the Peace started to decline they started to restrict the Oracle's access to the council which became something that Rolmar Prolin ignored. He went to advise the Council regardless of whether or not they wanted to hear from him.   It is also not uncommon for Oracles to advise the Galactic Senate in addition to the Jagerio Council during times of war and disaster to help as many people as possible. Oracles that are often Jagerio Councilors and the job of Councilors is to be peacekeepers in the Galaxy. The Jagerio Knights will occasionally do this as well but as often as the Councilors.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

The only way the Jagerio Council can dismiss an Oracle is by restricting the Oracle's access to them however, historically Oracles ignore these restrictions. When this happens they are doomsayers that the Council doesn't want to listen them.

History

Oracles used to be highly respected within the Guardians of the Peace until the Separatist War when the Jagerio Council didn't want to listen to the Oracles. This was because one of the Oracles, Rolmar Prolin, was foretelling the fall of the Order in an event called The Purge. After the fall of the Order, the two surviving Oracles went into hiding.

Cultural Significance

Many cultures and organizations that work with the Guardians of the Peace respect the words of the Oracle even the Silaro who are the enemies of the Guardians.
