Kestals

Kestals are machines that were loosed on the galaxy around the end of the First Wave during the War for the Core to humble the arrogant tenets of Markait, and make clear the Maker will NOT tolerate any challenge to his management. There are still sitings all over civilized space of mysterious constructs that pop in and out of star systems at their edge, constructs that defy current instruments abilities to fully analyze them. What IS know is that they are truely massive, dwarfing even the largest ships currently produced by any space fairing power.

Currently the best proofs of their existances are debris left over from totally one sided battles at the Grey Core's edge, along with exotic matter and material that isn't fully understood either. There are very few that claim them to be outright myths or exaggerations by survivors of the War for the Core. But degractors beleive the debris may have simply been tossed out wreckage of vessels that have tried to traverse the Yoke of Markait and simply collided with other such vessels stranded on the interior before being expelled.
