Special abilities
Created to be a super soldier, Hierophant is highly skilled in most forms of combat. However, his greatest abilities are his enhanced intelligence and superhuman intuitive talent for inventing mechanical devices.
Specialized Equipment
Hierophant's suit of powered armor is his most famous invention. There have been many iterations of the suit because Hierophant is constantly improving it. The current model is the HP8-M14, and represents a huge leap in power over previous models. With the invention of his Zero Point Energy Matrix, Hierophant has unlocked near cosmic levels of power, which has been harnessed into the suit's raw power and devastating weaponry.
Hierophant has a staggering number of suits already built and constantly works to improve his previous designs. He has a suit for any type of enemy, terrain, weapon, or phenomenon he might encounter.

Personal history
Hierophant is a clone, created as part of a super soldier program by the Golden Dawn. The Hierophant was one of the three known genetic suites created by the Golden Dawn, refined over decades of eugenics and techno-organic experiments. The Hierophant was designed to be the tactician, builder, and support system for the Golden Dawn's clone army.
Hieophant was the only of his brood of clones to survive and meet the expectations of his superiors. The others died violently, either when their central nervous systems failed under the load of bio-mechanical enhancements or executed when they failed to meet performance parameters. Hierophant was put to work, doing various spy missions, corporate sabotage, and assassinations. Hierophant was paired with the only other living clone soldier, Sovereign. The Sovereign was built as the commander model, loaded with all of Hierophant's enhancements and many more on top of that. Sovereign was desperate to be free of the Golden Dawn and convinced Hierophant to join him in an uprising.
The two super soldiers systematically dismantled Golden Dawn, eradicated the leadership from within, and destroyed key assets all over the city. Afterwards, Hierophant was shocked to discover that Sovereign planned to rebuild Golden Dawn with himself as the sole leader. Hierophant and Sovereign battled each other all throughout the Wandering City, drawing the attention of many of the cities heroes. After an epic battle, where the gathered heroes had all fallen before Sovereign, Hierophant finally managed to defeat him by taking control of Sovereign's armor.
After the battle, Hierophant was inspired by the heroes who'd joined the fight against his nemesis. He declined many offers to join super teams, but decided to join the ranks of the cities super powered defenders. In search of funding, he established his alter ego, Simon Stone. As Stone, he founded a tech company that created technological marvels and made him a billionaire. Stone Tech is responsible for revolutions in power, medicine, and transportation.
During one of his many epic confrontations with Sovereign, Hierophant rescued and was rescued by Typhon. The girl was only 6 months old at the time, even though her body and mind had been aged up to the equivilant of a 10 year old. Hierophant felt not only a kinship with the girl, but also a sort of familial responsibility. He decided to adopt Typhon as his ward, and train her to use her powers in a heroic manner. Before long, he made a suit for Typhon and introduced her to the world as his sidekick.
Morality & Philosophy
The core of Hierophant's morality is centered on two beliefs. The first, is that people are inherently good, and they deserve to be protected. The second, is that there is no place for him in their society outside of his role as a hero. Hierophant ultimately views himself as a construct, not less than human, but different in ways that can never be reconciled. He defends the people of the Wandering City because he has the power to do so, and because it's the right thing to do, but Hierophant expects nothing in return. Outside of his ward, Typhon, he has no close relationships.
