Purpose
A Barons Guide to the Ender Pearl is most widely known book on Enderian anatomy. It was created as a guide between pearl barons on the most effective ways to extract Ender Pearls.
The authors of the guide remain anonymous, most likely out of fear for their own safety if their profession was leaked to those around them.

While not published by any official group or country, thousands of copies of the journal exist across the world. They are often passed around in secret, though those outside of the trade have gotten their hands on it and use excerpts of the journal in medical or other books.
Legal status
The journal is banned in several Enderian led kindoms and countries, with ownership of it being considered treasonous in the End continent. Books that reference or lift sections from A Baron's Guide to the Ender Pearl are often similarly banned.

Public Reaction
Critics of the book state that while the anatomy is accurate, many of the ideas stated in the book are wrong and even harmful. It is seen as encouraging the process of Pearl Harvesting, with detailed instructions of the entire process, from obtaining Enderians to harvest from to selling the pearls.

The most effective way to harvest Ender Pearls is to kill the enderman, as its body will continue to form pearls after death provided that the corpse is preserved properly. Ender Pearls can also be collected while the enderman is alive, a process that produces higher quality [Ender Pearls].
