Guardian's Rift

Geography

The Guardian's Rift is a large, seemingly bottomless trench at the ocean's floor, just above the sunken continent of Byssaryn. The abyss is considered uninhabitable, with strong underwater currents pulling things into it, though ships travelling on the surface above it seem unaffected.

Localized Phenomena

Aquatic Hybrid species often complain about low keening noises coming from the Guardian's Rift. Rumors of a large sea beast living in the trench are frequent, often told to scare children away from it.
