Session 62: Teleportation Circles Report
General Summary
Selina asks Bubbles to open the next door, and they try it with a sword. It bites again, so they attack the door until it opens. In there are four magical items:
An hourglass, a large dessicated piece of ancient jerky, a potion, and a blue crystal skull. Bubbles took the potion (item 2 from room 59).
Bubbles also picks up the skull, louding proclaiming that they will "fall off a great cliff; that will be your ultimate fate."
Selina picks it up, and the skull proclaims, "my prophicies are once per day only."
They then inpsect the jerky. Bubbles realizes that it's a dragon heart.
Meanwhile, Bubbles touches the hourglass and the dust flows upwards--they cannot age for one hour.
Knowning legends of eating dragon flesh providing magical powers, Selina eats it. They de-age by 24 years, down to the age of 21. Mystan then comes in, realizes what happens, and warns Selina that they now have the enmity of whatever dragon that was, should that dragon's spirit still be alive.
They go to another room and find it littered with scrolls and also a teleportation circle under the floor. In the scriptorium they find a page from a book (item 7). Virion notes that it's necromancy, but he doesn't know the language. It could be attuned too. Virion takes it for safe keeping.
Virion copies the sigils down for the teleportation to the island, and then they go up to the surface to take everyone back to Seaton.
The party, along with Malla, Lt. Ollic, Gomez, Aymeri, Mirror Guy, and all the others show up to Seaton.
They took the hourglass and skull.
They arrive back, guards take the prisoners. They explain that Captain Syrgaul stole Blackrazor and cannot be trusted. Virion sees the exact same bird on the windowsill.
They plan on how to return the other two weapons; Whelm needs to go to the Order of Raan, Wave to the Queen in Dar Elestri.
Virion is cold.
Bubbles goes with the shapeshifting Bird, Ciara(n), to deliver the sword. Bubbles and company sneak past the pirate blockade underwater, and swim all the way to the Queen-Captain within a handful of days. The bird turned into a seal, and when they arrived in Bloodbath Bay they find a city of docks and repurposed ships. They are introduce to Half and Half (the seal) and Menace (to Society).
Climbing to the Queen-Captain's ship at the top of the clif, they meet Queen-Captain Xihuital. Bubbles introduces themself, uses the revenant of proof, returns Blackrazor and explains the situation. Xihutal thanks them and gives them a Cloak of the Scarlet Macaw as thanks. Each other member of the party is owed one audience with the Queen-Captain.
Half-and-Half, Menace, and Elmo are then told they have much to disscus about who the new Prince of Monmurg will be.
Seklyn negotiates custody of Aymeri, and learns that he was taken in by the Brotherhood's cult-like promise of a better world. Selina points out that he wouldn't be solving the issue; it would be making a new evil.
"Aryz will deal with you justly."
"I know. I just wish he could've seen the better world I wanted to make."
"Thank the gods he never will."
After that, Seklyn goes to Malla. She convices the guards Malla was kidnapped by Muertio and needs to go back to her parents.
Selina offers to take her back to the Aryzmuit, but only if she wants to. Malla prefers to lame-ass parents, and Seklyn tells her that what Muertio did was wrong and that hurting others will eventually hurt her--if only from people trying to stop her.
"Those with power should use it to help people."
Malla complains that it was a better world, and Seklyn explains that it would only be for certain people. Malla isn't fully convinced about her parents knowing everything, but Selina insists.
They arrive at her parents, Martin and Maria's house. Malla knocks, and greets her folks who thought she was kidnapped! When they learn she ran away to practice black magic, they're furious. But Selina explains that magic is but a tool, and as long as Malla has a good moral compass it will be okay; they should be proud of Malla's abilities.
The parents aren't completely convinced, and are also racist against Virion when Selina mentions to not have her tutored by him. Seklyn tells Malla not be racist. Selina says goobye to Maria and Martin, and Martin apologizes for his brother's mistakes.
Then, Selina calls in Aryz and gets picked up by him. She explains what happened with the sword and everything, and Aryz finds it acceptable.
"I also want to talk to you about the Dangers of the Empire."

Selina and Lusa talk about what's happened. Seklyn needs magical healing, and thankfully to Lusa she agreed to stay out of this. But to eir horror, Selina says that once the kids are old enough, in three years, they need to head south and try to help people.
"How do you intend to do that?"
"Virion's brother seems well-connected and powerful. We should speak with him."
Lusa wants Selina to stay, but Seklyn knows that the empire will get up north eventually. A few weeks later, they get a message by letter from the Order of Raan; to become a half-dragon, kill a dragon and bathe in its blood with the blessing of a more powerful dragon.
Bubbles heads for Dar Elestri with the Sea Elves. Catching a ride with a pod of orca whales. They arrive later on and meet with Queen Aylegard. She is sad to hear Riptide is MIA, and Hunter Bubbles introduces themself and explains who the Brotherhood of Keraptis are, and re-gifts her Wave, while explaining the deal with Riptide. Bubbles again explains who the others are. Aylegard gifts them magical armor and the Javan School their expanding hunting grounds. She also gauruntees that their friends will be able to secure an audience/boons.
With everything secured and the Fleet of Monmurg retreated, in the dark of Ringshadow Virion, before he delivers Whelm, visits his parents in Seaton. Rodrigo is proud of Virion, and he smiles, thanking his father. Virion hugs his mother and she congragulates bladesong. He fetches his winter clothes. He looks into the magic items; Muertio's spellbook is just a spellbook, but the page is some sort of necromantic ritual. He realizes that the page is a copy of another book, and contains partial instructions to the 9th-level spell Lichdom. It requires attunement.
Virion checks in on Saltmarsh. Not only does he learn about the Rists becoming Dhampirs, Tomas Primewater is dead, and also Eda Oweland's sister and Lt. Johnny were members of the Brotherhood. Eliander is a wreck; he can't trust anyone expect Keledek the Unspoken of all people, and half his inner circle have been traitors, not to mention the Owelands had secret tunnels all over the town.
The town has suffered more nightmares due to stress, paranoia, and hunger--amplified by Granny Nightshade.
