Overview
Epeon, sometimes known informally as the
City of Goodbyes, is the largest city of note on the
Albascan coast. Frequented by adventurers and merchants due to its far eastern location, the city receives more naval traffic then any other Albascan settlement.
Reputation
Epeon is famed as one of the handful of "final cities" ambitious adventurers and traders often visit before traveling southeast to Lustrea or Colodos. Unique and rare goods are bought and sold regularly in the city's many markets, under the supervision of the Albascan guard and various local criminal organizations. Countless people pass through the city, many heading to the docks to sail east and never be seen again.
The city is largely seen in an unfavorable light by Albascans, who regard it as the least pious of the three major Albascan cities.
Geography
Built largely upon high cliffs, Epeon is Albasca's most defensible city, especially from a prospective naval attack. Inland terrain surrounding the city is largely rugged, with large patches of forested foothills nearby.
