The Silver Tounge
This is a silver prosthetic tounge that operates just like the real thing, it was crafted by a hag who runs a casino as a welcome/recrutement gift to one of the four managers. The manager in question had lost her tounge during a "slight scuffle" involving an assasin, the mafia she was once a part of and other minor details that resulted in her bleeding out alone in a dark alley, covered in stab wounds and a gouged out tounge. The one who found her half dead granted her this "benovelent boon" as a sign that she can be trusted, which was obviously the most wise desicion and definetly didnt have any strings attached what-so-ever that would be relevent later on! Nope, none.
The disgraced heiress, turned dishonoured mafioso, turned cruel casino manager now sets her grand ambitions on regaining her previous titles and even more. And to achive this nigh on impossible task she uses her already present witts and newly accuired tounge. With it she has already made sure all uncoopereative patrons pay up what they owe, tamed a semi-sentient wild beast down to a pet and created trade routes to and from the casino, formed diplomatic relations with near merchent guilds, establishments and even countries...
Now only time, and i guess the silver tounge will tell what outrageous ambition the future holds.
Mechanics & Inner Workings
Pros:
-Being able to speak any language the creator knows (in this case most languages cause this hag is damn near ancient).
-Advantage on: mainly deception, intimidation, performance, and any other action that would benefit from knowing your way with words.
-Advantage on spells with verbal components.
-Basically perfect at tounge twisters, cant get tounge tied.
-Controlled as well as the users original tounge as an extention of them user.
Cons:
-Sense of taste halved, dominated by a metalic taste.
-Cant be removed without damaging the user if the creator isnt present or actively commanding the item to do so. Removing it without the creators support will end with heavy damage to the mouth and then the digestive track as the tounge tears off and rampages through oesophagus.
-Needs regular maintenence by the original creator to be kept in prestine condition (removed when polished).
-The tounge never trully belongs to the user and cen be remotely controlled by the creator at will. The creator can channel their voice through or speak in the current users voice if prefered as if they were talking themselves, making the users into glorified speakers on a whim. Another thing they can do is command the tounge to "choke" the user by lodging it inside the trachea.
Significance
-The teather between Diamond (the manager) and the Owner. Shows the perminent "link" she has to the casino.
