He is the loyal first mate, and is willing to kill any who threaten his captain. His name is actually Everes Issa, but had to change it when he joined the navy.

Personal history

Eilt Un

Evres was born in Israni Illitus, and began learning early on how to hunt and sail. He hunted down and killed a crocodile at age 12 with the help of his aunt, and grew up watching Continent soldiers without knowing their language. At 13 he taught himself Continental Standard, and as such began actively talking back to sailors who would otherwise use the language barrier to mock and abuse the people they occupied.

The Eilan in the Continental Navy

When he reached age 16, he was pressed into service by the Continental Navy after multiple ships had been destroyed and their recruitment rates dropped. The sailors he joined didn't take the introduction of an Eilan well, and he began a long period of harassment and abuse. During this he gained multiple brands and scars, and slowly lost full use of his right arm.

The Suvratas

When we came into port, everyone onboard looked up. The statues had ice hanging off 'em. I'd never seen cliffs that tall. Only thing I could think of was 'wonder how they keep people from falling off'.

In 1606 the ship he was serving on headed to Jestoania, and he was removed from active duty, instead being assigned to guard the eldest Suvrata with his life, as Rosetta Smith was quickly approaching the age she'd take over her parents' roles as head of their house and family. At this point he couldn't turn his head to the right or move his right arm without difficulty after years of hard labor and poor medical treatment, and had to spend time using his working hand to loosen the joints.

The Mutiny

He served as Rosetta's official shadow until 1611, when she headed on a convoy with her sister to Brosha, where she would meet with the nobility of that region for diplomatic talks. After the talks and en route home, on the orders of her younger sister, her ship mutinied with the intention to kill her and those loyal to her. Instead, the eldest of the Suvratas and Everest were able to hold them off as a storm hit, destroying several of the ships and nearly sending the Dancing Wolf to the bottom of the sea as well, while the other ships that escaped the storm headed back towards port. Rosetta took command of those remaining, and chose to remain in Brosha with the knowledge that her sister believed her dead in the storm, and would continue to want her dead if she learned otherwise.

The Plundering Wolf

The Dancing Wolf became a powerful pirate vessel, as the crew ran both cargo between ports, and attacked naval vessels. Everest took charge of commanding and picking crew, and choosing which jobs they would run. He continued to shadow Rosetta as she gained power among the loosely-formed Council of Pirates. As the years progressed, he, along with the entirety of the Council, became embroiled in the growing issue of Continental occupation, and the hunting of pirates.
