The barrel-maker, woodworker, and spiritual advisor of the Hydra's Curse.

Personal history
Shanani Oromigna was born on Whale Piers in the Broshan Islands, and grew up surrounded by her peoples' traditional worship of Qhil and other spirits. She continued this worship even after the Vohai Empire began to push into the area, and attempted to stamp out the Old Gods and their worship in favor of the Pantheon. Shanani refused this directive, and was eventually arrested for organizing revolutionaries. She, her husband, and her wife, were quickly tried and convicted, before being sentenced to a prison island. This was not one of Vohai's smartest decisions.
Shanani became a leader of the prisoners, staging a bloody revolt and burning the entire island. She fled into the fields of reeds surrounding the beach with her spouses and infant child, whereupon the surviving prisoners rowed an old boat out to sea.
As they headed east along a relatively narrow channel, the rough waters turned into an outright storm, and not thirty yards from the Port of Thunder, the boat capsized. Shanani dragged her family to shore, only to lose them both again as she, the only standing survivor, was arrested by soldiers.
She was released several days afterward, but a year later was sent to another prison island after refusing to stop worshipping Qhil. There she met other future members of the Hydra's Curse, and five years later would escape a final time.
