Kelthias Tynasse

Kelthias Tynasse, a High Elf from the region of Medina known as the Elven Wineyards, was the founder of the Order of the Crimson Tear , a Pthalonian sect centered in southern Medina, and the first Warden of the Spire. He began an adventuring career after an attack on his home town resulted in the deaths of his family, including his pregnant wife, Arianna Tynasse. In his travels, he met with the Order of the Silver Arrow and joined them on their adventures, eventually discovering the young Mittieran priestess, Cassneigar, was his daughter.   He became a skilled swordsman and was a talented violinist, though he would insist that his musical talent paled in comparison to his beloved wife's.   Bearing a bitter grudge against the Lord of Adventurers and self-proclaimed Protector of the Elvish People, Kelthias would eventually come to terms with the pain of the loss of his family, embracing Pthalo and becoming the first paladin of Pthalo in nearly five hundred years.   He supported the ascension of Cyprus Faeborn to the throne of Medina, and would eventually become a prominent member of the Faeborn court, teaching many of the house's scions over the centuries. He was the Warden of the Spire from the founding in 583 until his death in 904 A.C., sacrificing his own life to seal a demonic gate in far-off Kantrus.   Kelthias eventually married the half-elvish priestess Marathal of Pthalo, siring a number of children with her before his death.    Kelthias faced his final battle in the last days of the Kantrustian War in 904 AC. Kelthias led the elite veterans of the Order of the Crimson Tear against the demons pouring from the Black Gate while the combined arcane and clerical forces of the allied armies performed the magic needed to seal the gate. While this was successful, Kelthias succumbed to the multitude of wounds that the demonic hordes inflicted upon him. His body was returned to the City of Southpoint, where he was buried with full honors.
