The Great Work Continues

Construction beginning/end

Construction on the Eastern Reaches of the Great Under-Road continues.

It has been sixty-four years since the founding of the Branded Legion and the beginning of work on the eastern highway. The engineers assess that they have only finished a third of the needed work, due mainly to the difficulty of securing the tunnels from the demonic and natural enemies that dwell within them.
    However, the dwarves of Eastforge remain resolute that the work will be finished in due time. As a symbol of their more open stance to the outside world, High King Grimbol has even sought out aid from adventuring groups outside of Eastforge to help battle the creatures of the deeper tunnels.
    The echoes of the Crafts War still leave their mark on the kingdom, but the dwarven people have recovered and adapted well to the integration of so many different clans into their new home. While Eastforge is not yet the power that High King Grimbol wishes it to be, they have advanced remarkably well in the relatively short time since and may be standing on the edge of realizing that dream of greatness.
