Military action
The Aktannan tribe of the Roc attack Arakeen.
Ten years after the end of the Great War, Arakeen faced the first major test to its new defensive fortifications. An Aktannan warlord of the Tribe of the Roc by the name of J’kara Bloodtalon led a union of tribes against the northern reaches of Arakeen.
Sovereign Falroth lead the defense of his lands personally. Calling upon his most powerful vassals and legions of warriors and slave fodder the Arakeenians faced the worst the Tribe of the Roc and its allies could muster. The Church of Viridian joined forces with the Sovereign and matched their magical might with that of the Aktannan Shamans, ultimately turning the tide against the barbarian hordes.
The war ended with Sovereign Falroth slaying J’kara Bloodtalon in single combat. In accordance with the ancient laws, the Sovereign laid claim to the family of J’kara as battle captives. On the site of the final battle, the Sovereign ordered all the male members of the warlord’s family sacrificed to Viridian in thanks for the goddess’ aid. The Skulls of these sacrifices were hung from the northern walls to provide warning for any other Aktannan seeking to attack Arakeen. The females were added to the Sovereign’s harem and each went on to birth children of Sovereign Falroth.
