Life, Death
Falroth dies and is replaced by his son Korvas.
To celebrate his 60th birthday, Sovereign Falroth fought in the arena of Draknos promising freedom to any slave gladiator who managed to defeat him. The Sovereign defeated seven gladiators in a row, a feat that has yet to be equaled.
However, one of the wounds suffered by the Sovereign that day became infected and Falroth died from the infection. After his death, six of Falroth’s sons sought to claim the throne. As per the final wishes of Falroth, his sons entered the arena in a six-way battle to the death to determine who would succeed him.
Falroth’s eldest son, Korvas, succeeded in slaying the rest of the other sons who challenged him and was crowned Sovereign. Though not the strongest of his brother’s Korvas was well known as a canny warrior and a master of tactical thought.
He chose to have himself openly blessed and incorporated into the Church of Viridian, recognizing even more than his father had that the power of the church would be needed to help protect his kingdom and allow it to prosper.
