Disaster / Destruction
A curse destroys the province of Whitepeak
The people of Whitepeak were always a hardy folk with a close connection to the wild lands in which they made their home. As such they did not fear as they should the rise of animals and natural predators that followed many of their men being lost in the Great War, they simply considered it the natural result of less hunting in the area.
However, these creatures were not being driven towards Whitepeak by any natural force, but rather a coalition of powerful Lycanthropes who had decided to claim the lands for themselves. The greatest of these was the werewolf, Talad Manchewer. During Black Night of year 14, Talad and his allies unleashed their full might upon the unsuspecting people of Whitepeak. The city, which had not yet recovered from the large number of warriors that it has been required to send to fight in the Great War, was quickly overrun.
The city itself became an abattoir, and those who were not slain and devoured were cursed with the various forms of Lycanthrope borne by their attackers. With the destruction of the city came the loss of all recognizable civilization in the mountains of Whitepeak. Now the land is a dark, accursed place, home to only monsters.
