The Coalition Mountains

In the centre of Valthassora stands prominently a large mountain range, which stretches through the continent's interior and reaches its southern border, known as The Lowlands, where the mountainous landscape abruptly becomes flat for miles on end, and where large salt lakes fill most of the terrain up until the Isthmus of Ronvallos. This mountain range is a mostly uncharted territory, yet the Ermothine Sea Coalition -whose aspirations of wealth and power resulted in an unpresedented effort to explore and inhabit the wildlands of Valthassora, a region mostly untamed and teeming with ferocious monsters- has funded many costly and perilous expeditions in the area. However, despite their best efforts, these expeditions haven't made any significant progress in mapping the Coalition Mountains with any semblance of detail, and none of them has ever managed to reach the snowcapped summits of its tallest mountains. Nevertheless, this hasn't stopped the members of the Coalition from naming the entire range after their beloved organisation, and its mountains after prominent figures from the Coalition's history, such as Chancellors, Prime Speakers, nobility and military leaders of yore.
The tallest peak of the Coalition Mountains is Mount Odjemor, located nearly at the centre of the mountain range, followed closely by Mount Zacresz and Mount Tilcon to the southeast, as well as Mount Aelldam to the northwest. Each of them has been named after a prominent historical figure from the history of different members of the Coalition. For instance, Mount Odjemor is named after Lord Captain Ròygze Odjemor of Lemrith, a renowned and much feared admiral of the island kingdom of Thimbal, who succesfully subjegated the islands of Fìnuros, Akxae and Merphal, and turned them into vassal states under the rule of the High King of Aurevànno, the de facto capital city of Thymbal.
