Goblinoids are a group of creatures that resemble the mortal races to some extent. They have pointy ears, long, pointed noses, thick skin, clawed hands and sharp teeth. Some scholars argue that due to their similar morphology and structure of cultures and civilisations Goblinoids should be classed as mortal races. Goblinoids live in tribes of 15-50, rarely growing beyond that due to their violent and aggressive natures. They build villages, structures and tools, allocate roles to tribe members, keep pets, ride mounts, cook, and have a language, hobbies and religious beliefs. With the exception of Gnolls, the goblinoid races often live together, with the larger ones usually in charge of the tribes.
Goblinoids are one of the more peaceful monsters, but this doesn't say much. Whilst most monsters actively search for and hunt down mortals, goblinoids will happily keep to themselves if left alone. Though they take great joy in plundering and pillaging settlements and trading caravans, they prefer stealing over killing. It's rare to meet a survivor from a monster attack where the monster wasn't slain, unless said monster attack was carried out by goblinoids. They'll still kill the small and weak ones, but they don't actively chase or hunt down people fleeing and rarely pick fights they can't win, unlike other monsters.
