Hallowind

Residents always wear masks when outside of their homes. Most are just burlap sacks with holes cut for the eyes, but a few are carved and painted wooden affairs. They won’t discuss why it is they do this, but it’s not because their faces look weird or anything.
The front gate is barred shut and appears to have been closed for a long time. There is a path that leads to a worn stair that seems to have been built to climb to the upper levels of the keep in a attempt to avoid needing access to the main gate. Once inside the party can see the upper level, now a slum, was clearly a place of wealth and joy many years ago.
