Akreotine

Obtained from it's ore, Akreum, Akreotine is a dark green metal with very strange properties. It is similar to steel in most characteristics, however, it has a glassy appearance and behaves strangely in the presence of magic, nullifying it's source almost completely. As it absorbs the white essence, it glows brightly in green, while also causing adverse effects on the source, be it an item or a person. This metal is often used for the crafting of weapons for warriors from Thortyr, for they hold on dearly to the secret of its smelting.
