Hava
Over the seas, she reigns with a dual grace—kindness in ripples, cruelty in storms.
Known as Hava, Haev or simply Ava, the goddess of the seas ranks amongst the oldest and most significant deities of Mellanvärlden. Her cult and worship is mostly done along the coasts of Människar, where the seas are harsher and colder. For millennia, she stood as one of the main deities of the Gammalist faith and being found close to the other major gods in nearly every pantheon, such as Engel, Mireus and Liv.
Hava is portrayed both as a gargantuam leviathan, unpredictable, tempestuous, and as a woman with blue-greenish hair.
Unlike other deities, it is said that Hava is very influential in the Middle Realm, as elders and shamans would speak of the goddess restless atittude, always watchful of mortals, blessing the pious and cursing the sinful. Others even say the goddess herself wanders the mortal realm, with some claiming to have seen her as a woman collecting sea shells along rocky shores. As time passed, it is rumoured that Hava had lost much of her power and importance as deity, with natural spirits and creatures going extinct, disappearing from the wilds and giving room to darkness. More specifically, myths of Hava tell how she, saddened with mankind's attitude, decided to seclude herself at the bottom of the seas, mourning the destruction brought to the world by men.
Artifacts
It is rumoured that Hava had once given to a mortal a magical cloak, to protect him from all manner of dangerous creatures and unholy beasts, called Algmantel.
