House Velaryon

House Velaryon of Driftmark is one of the oldest and most storied houses in Westeros, with ancestral ties that trace back to the Valyrian Freehold, much like the Targaryens. Their sigil is a seahorse, and they are known for their seafaring prowess, commanding one of the largest and most powerful fleets in the Seven Kingdoms. The Velaryons originally hailed from the Valyrian peninsula and, like the Targaryens, settled on the island of Driftmark in Blackwater Bay before the Doom of Valyria.
