Hubard Darkwood is a large man with large muscular arms and a big hands. His hair is a dark brown and he shows off with his fancy mustache and beard. Hubard dresses expensively like the higher lords of The Crownlands would, but ensures that his choice of caparison does not diminish the effort he can put into the Fairwood enterprise. Co-organizer and business partner of Anthony Fairwood at the Fairwood Tourney Grounds, Hubard is an ambitious man who likes to make a profit out of every situation, and sees possibilities everywhere. He loves the atmosphere of the tournaments and is very vocal about his connections to the extinct House Darklyn of Duskendale. His goal is to one day become a wealthy lord, preferably of Duskendale itself. Hubard keeps the stables and makes sure the horses are seen to and taken care of. He does not take care of them himself and always has things done by others who are in the service of House Fairwood. He treats the servants as lesser people. As long as they do good work, he treats them fairly. But when someone endangers the Fairwood enterprise Hubard will show them his wrath and cunning. Other than taking care of the stables, Hubard ensures the weaponry and armory are well secured and well looked after. A rusted sword can easily infect and kill a man. Something the Fairwoods cannot afford when trying to maintain their reputation of one of the finest tourney ground keepers in the realm.
