Sanctioner
Qualifications
- Sanctioners are not required to have any prior experience in law enforcement, since their training is done after they're employed, but some experience is preferred.
- Sanctioners must be able to read and write fluently.
Requirements
In order to take on the title of a Sanctioner, one must have never previously been sanctioned. Furthermore, because Sanctioners fulfill an important law and order type role, one also must have performed some deed of sufficient value to prove one's loyalty to the Kingdom of Gwandrin.
Appointment
Sanctioners are appointed to the position by the king of their respective kingdom or, should the king be predisposed, by the longest employed Sanctioner.
Duties
Sanctioners have the very specific and important role of making sure that the Laws of Magical Use are followed. If the Laws are broken, then a Sanctioner is required to meet with the offender and determine if the breach of the law was malicious, intentional, or innocent.
Malicious or Intentional breaches:
Should the offender be found to be guilty of a malicious or intentional breach of the law, then they are immediately sent to the capital of their respective kingdom to relearn the reasons the laws exist. If the guilty party still refuses to change their ways, then they are exiled by the Sanctioner who found them from the kingdom they were a citizen of, and then that Sanctioner must notify the neighboring kingdom of the person's wrongdoings.
Innocent Breaches:
If the breach of the Law was an accident, however, the offender is given a short lesson by the Sanctioner about why the laws exist and then is sent on their way (provided they weren't a repeat offender. Repeats offenders are treated as Intentional law breakers).

Responsibilities
On a day-to-day basis Sanctioners mingle with their kingdom's citizens and look for any signs of magical malpractice, and they also occasionally hold lessons about the dangers of misused magic for citizens to attend.
Grounds for Removal/Dismissal
If a Sanctioner breaks the laws that they are upholding, they are immediately banished by the other Sanctioners. It is not clear, however, where they are banished to, since they are never heard from or seen again.
