For the noble houses the the heirs tend to be the first born who inherits the family title and position. The heir inherits their title when they have reached their race's age of maturity and their parents are dead. If the offspring have not reached the age of maturity by the time that their parents pass away then a retainer is placed incharge until the child has come of age.
Common Etiquette rules
Each person puts a fist to their hand facing eachother and bends over while maintaining eye contact with the other person. Those greating those of the ten noble house tend to also do this while kneeling on one knee. This is kept even when fighting in a duel.

With Estrus being a cold place many of the clothing of the people include furs and coats.
Art & Architecture
The architecture is baised on russian architecture while their art is based on the style of Chinnese and Japanesse art. Many of the art in Estrus dipicts historical events/figgures or the gods and even of Saphira. There are also those of richer familes who would have pictures of their ansestors. Statues of dragons are often found either by the fences or steps to the homes of noble families.

The ansestors of each family is typically prayed to protect and watch over them along with their prayers to the goddes Saphira. Those with more money might have a room or building where they could worship their ansestors while those of poor may just have pictures of their family above their fire place.
Common Myths and Legends
Long ago on this desolate rock a dragon named Saphra came and landed hoping to find a place she could call home. With her playing her harp and her breath she substains life to the land called Struamitoa creating the trees and the mountains. It is belived that she has been given power from Nigigi to be able to have food survive in such a cold place. When humans, elves, and other species came to this world she helped protect them from the wrath of the dragons.

Courtship Ideals
In one of these rituals, single men and women from the village would gather at night around a bonfire. The women would wear billowing skirts and turn their spinning wheels. The men would be draped in red blankets and would begin to circle the group of women, serenading them with various musical instruments. If a man fancied a particular woman, he would approach her directly. If a woman was interested in a man, she would offer him a stool to sit on. The men would wrap their dates in their blankets and the couples would talk.
