In the game, Morennel had a small encounter with May'chalithra Palefury. She dared Morennel to give her a kiss, and she was rather surprised to learn how cold his lips where. Two went on their separate ways in good spirits, though now after murder of LiNeeronia Hellspawn, this connection might turn out more useful.

Personal history
Morennel is the first born son of Dilbreena Hellspawn, daughter of recently murdered matron LiNeeronia Hellspawn. Unlucky stars where upon him on birth; not only he was born as a boy in matriarchal society, he was also brought to one of the most ambitious arcane families in Mori'tarna without any inborn magical talent.
To "fix" what his family saw as an inherent fault in him, his family him to an Archfey from wintercourt, to make sure he would have some magical capabilities of his own.
