Paralyzing Manacles
Sometimes used to dangerous criminals and strong casters, Paralyzing manacles can save countless lives. They can, also, in the wrong hands be very dangerous. Caution is advised.
Mechanics & Inner Workings
The manacles function like a standard set of manacles, with the exception that they are enchanted. Manacles have 15 hp. They can be broken with DC 20 Strenght check by helping creatures, and someone proficient with thieves tools can open the lock with them with DC 15 Dexterity check. However, one on manacles cannot try to escape the manacles with Dexterity check, as when they are paralyzed as long as the manacles are on them.
You can open the manacles with a key they come with if one has access to it.
I really like the idea. Does the person on the manacles get to make a save to avoid being paralyzed, or it just happens as soon as the manacles are on them?
It activates after you get the manacles (properly) on someone, which on its own can be troublesome to get someone into them, or out of them. There could be safe if you got only one of the rings attached to you, now when I think about it. Might need some tuning, depending is this item you give to players or will villains to use. :3 Or that is my original idea, it might require some revamps at some point if it gets too troublesome!
