Pumpkindale
Pumpkindale is a thriving farmer settlement in the southern Askevel. This puzzling town produces a large amount of the food supply of their region, and are most famous for their cucumbers, squash and of course, their pumpkins. It is a beautiful and idyllic town, with a good reputation among the good people of Askevel, and has quite a few summer mansions of the finer folk.
Demographics
Most of the Pumpkindale's residence are in one way or another connected to the faring efforts of the area, but as the town has grown more and more traders, crafters and learned have found their way in. Pumpkindale has also captured imagination of the wealthy, and as beautiful summer mansions have risen to the hills on the loveliest spots, wealth and the upper class have come with them, if still in minor way.
Humans are the most well represented of the races, being almost 85% of the all population. They are quickly followed by the Gnomes that live in the area, with very small minority of Kenkus that have just recently settled in.
The upper class has attempted to bring the worship of The Triad (Tyr, Ilmater and Torm) in to forefront, yet most of the population follows the teachings of the Deities of Natural Harmony.
Assets
Several fields and orchards are the bread and butter of the town, both literally and figuratively. Caddle is also abundant in the Pumpkindale. Berries, fruits and grain are well presented in the produce. Leather is also much exported from the Pumpkindale.
Tourism
The highlight of the year for people of Pumkindale is the annual Gourd Festival, which also attracts most of the tourists in the area. Town sees plenty of traffic due to the important job it serves to rest of the area as the local breadbasket.
