Elder Ocean

So called because this is the ocean that the original settlers of Menerem sailed to arrive on the continent, this southern ocean has been associated with myths and superstitions of doom for any who attempt to cross it. This sentiment has been challenged recently and two expeditions have crossed to what might have been the settlers’ home continent, finding other cultures that have no historical knowledge of a group leaving to settle Menerem. Trade with these lands imports some luxury items like chocolate and coffee beans and also staple products such as textiles.
