Stathmor

Stathmor is the closest town to the Wildlands, located near a ford on the river Caswood, making it one of the easiest towns to reach from the Wildlands. Founded in 1901 AGF the town was initially a military camp to house a garrison to curtail incursions from the Wildlands, but over the decades a small civilian settlement started to grow alongside the military encampment. Bralor would launch several military campaigns into the Wildlands from Stathmor: (1) to make safe the border territory and (2) to allow expeditions into the Wildlands to study the ancient Pregalon civilization. After these expeditions the settlement turned into a civilian town, a port was established to better facilitate trade with the neighboring countries. Do to its close proximity to the Wildlands Stathmor made an excellent last stop and supply point for expeditions into the Wildlands. The orcish incursion in 2501 AGF left the city decimated and a shadow of its former population.
