Devotary of Reverence

The Devotary of Reverence is the religious arm of the church. As such, they have churches in every hamlet, town, and city of Mercadia. Priests of Reverence use their platform as pastors to determine the needs of their citizens and report those needs to the Devotary of Charity for the proper allocation of resources. Priests of Reverence also act as priests- providing spiritual guidance to their followers and giving weekly sermons on the graces of the Angels of Aurelia. Winged members of the Devotary of Reverence review religious texts and reviewing the history of the Last Night.

Tenets of Faith

The Devotary of Reverence believes all citizens of Mercadia deserve a knowledge of their saviors, and access to the benefits of working with the church. They act as the gateway through which prospective members learn about the history and generosity of the church.

Priesthood

Priests of Reverence give weekly sermons, hear the needs of their constituents, and give updates to the other devotaries of their jurisdiction's needs. Promotion to priesthood requires a Winged member to have memorized a lengthy section of holy text and construct one month's of sermons from that text.
