Nightingales of the Silver Societies

Silver Societies are dedicated to exterminating lycanthropy from the face of the planet. As all common citizens know, lycanthropy is spread through the salivia and blood in lycan attacks. The soldiers in these Silver Societies (Owls, Hawks, Fletchers, etc.) are instructed to hunt down individuals infected with lycanthropy.   What happens if the infected individual is a child? Or a wife, a parent, or even an elder? There is where the Nightingales come in. A zealous sect in the Silver Societies, dedicated to carrying out the worst tasks imaginable.

Unthinkable Acts

Nightingales are very experienced soldiers and knights who fulfill the dark wishes of the Silver Societies. Nightingales always confirm the lycanthropy in the citizen before making the judgement call. Innocent is determined before execution. The innocent infected receive the Elixir of Release. Infected individuals who have killed others, receive the bullet.
There are several ways to eradicate infected individuals.
  1. Silver bullet: A quick bullet to the back of the head. The most vicious method.
2. Elixir of Release: A disgusting, sour potion brewed by the alchemists in the Citadel. Once consumed, the infected will pass away under an hour. The most humane method.
3. Registry: Infected individual must prove their innocence, willing to join the Silver Society, provide evidence they can be useful, and display partial control of their lycan forms.
-All of these factors are presented before a Council. If Council approves, infected individual joins the Registry and (basically) sequested to a Howling House for the rest of their days. The most complex method and very rare.

Description

Nightingales are noted for their midnight cloaks and pitch black leather armor. Some gales choose to where dulled iron. Gales are instructed to carry two revolvers, an extension shield, and various steel weapons. Gales always carry a bandolier with mixing ingredients and potions to assist in seeking out infected individuals for judgement.

How to join

-Nightingales can only be approved by a High Lord of a Silver Society.
-Only distinguished knights and fearless soldiers are approved.
-Once approved by a Lord, Nightingales take a blood magic oath. They pledge to never betray the Silver Society. Betryal will result in their blood boiling them alive and turning their bones to ash.

I think this Article is interesting that Lycanthropes can register and then hunt or extrimnate their own kind in the silver society in essence to spare their own lives.

Exactly! Registry might seem nice on paper, but you basically become turncoat to save your own skin. Sadly, once you're infected with lycanthropy your options are pretty limited. Death, hunted, or turncoat. Thank you for liking and commenting Crafty_DM!
