The Dark Wulf Order
The History of the Dark Wulf Order as discovered by the Daggers of Carvaan:
The Dark Wulf Order is a collection of researchers who have devoted their lives to certain experiments that have been outlawed by their respective countries. These experiments range from creating greater Kaiju to discovering ways to mass produce Artifact class magic items and even to discovering how exactly the Yuan-ti transformation works and how to reverse it. The researchers that are apart of this group have usually had to escape from their original laboratories and are often on the run. Joining the Dark Wulf Order as a researcher is by invitation from an established Order member. The Order has had many successes over their lifetime and as a result have become very wealthy and are able to keep a number of spies and thugs employed to protect their own members, though many Order members hire their own help without assistance from the Order at large as well. Few people employed by the order in non-research roles aren't considered true members however and are more likely not to know who they are actually serving. The Order's leaders are unknown to all but a few within the order and don't truly lead, instead they have guidelines that they have each member follow. Those members that do not follow the few guidelines that do exist often find their experiments disrupted by a passing adventuring party, ones who more often than not have no idea of the Dark Wulf Order.
The Order's Taboos as discovered by the Sanctus Militarum:
Even the Order has things they exepect their members to avoid researching as the costs inevitably outweigh the gains. Some of their taboos are also to protect their members from discovery or higher powers.
- Do not attempt to control the Ek
- No Kaiju may be made up of Humanoids
- Live experimentation is only to be used on consenting subjects, whther they are informed is irrelevant
- Divine Beasts can be studied only with assistance of a follower of the Divine
