The ritual that was supposed to merge the prime material plane with the Undying Reach failed. This caused the city of Seraphim to fall from the sky, crashing into the city of Natdivida below.

In the city of Natdivina, which once was a sparkling metropolis of the achievements of humanity.   Home to the anchor of Celestia, the Undying Reach. Where the gods live separate from the likes of mere mortals. The city has always had a spiritual connection. It is a hub for the divine, and many make pilgrimages to pay their respects to their deities.   The [Divine Council] who rule the city are the heads of each of the 7 gods. They are the ones who supposedly speak with the gods directly. The head of the council, is the Voice of Divine Justice, the head of the Church of Cideva, the Knowing Eye.   Over the last age of mortals, the council has grown in influence and in power. Their palace is filled with divine relics, and with the help of the anchor, have shown great strides in the work of the divine. Stretching their power to grant a city flight.   Seraphim, the flying city is truly a sight to behold. Held aloft by the will of the Divine Council, with 3 large marble wings on each side, a massive church above. The city holds the most important members of the church, the council moved their reserves up, and the original castle below it was rebuilt to a museum to show the never ending achievements of mortals.   One year before our Story starts, the Divine Council worked towards something great, eliminating the physical and mental distance of the Undying Reach and insert world name. This day would come to be known as the Reckoning.   The Reckoning was supposed to be the greatest day of humanity, instead it was the start of its downfall. The ritual failed. Seraphim, fell. Crashing into the city below, thousands who were all collected below to witness this great feat died.   That was but the start.
