Gilles de Rais, a young human, has been learning the ways of the Helmite faith, yet yearns for powers beyond what are granted by Helm. Since his recent encounter with the entity claiming to be a god of magic, he had learned the ability to call upon the Weave directly. The path to power is precarious, and Gilles needed to tread a careful line lest be consumed by forbidden knowledge.
 

The Adventure Starts


Before his final test to become part of the Holy Order of Helm, Gilles was put to the path of the Pilgrimage, the time he exploits to expand his knowledge. The cloth of a cleric provided avenues to move unmolested for the most part. He was in Junstol, following up on leads of the Wizard Hermit when he came across some old acquaintances from childhood. When a villager called upon their help to rid soem strange monsters n her basement, Gilles knew he was onto something. Since the encounter, he has remained with the fellow adventurers and steadily gains what he seeks, forbidden knowledge to expand his abilities and powers.   On Talos 23rd 5249, Gilles was killed during the Siege of Azuth's Temple, felled the the attacking orcs who were unde rthe command of mind-enslaved Bal'Aur. His soul rests within the walls of the temple.
