Personal history
The party encountered Mephistopheles while searching for a missing girl from Stathford. They initially turned the devil away and refused to sign a contract with him.
Days later, the party came across the Hellhole and entered Cania. There they took a spellbook from the Frozen Library. Seemingly offended by their trespassing and thievery, Mephistopheles insisted they sign a contract in exchange for his leniance. Wrell, Niven, and Tuisan promised the devil three tasks and their arcana after their death. Eccaia managed to elude the contract with an illusion, much to Mephistopheles' chagrin.
Niven and Tuisan's contracts have been fulfilled and closed thanks to a deal made by Ariameia.
