Chru Magusar

The Eight Eyes Gaze Upon Nature's Metronome

Translating from Merrani to "Eight Eyes". It is the faith that the druidic Mirran people of the forest follow. It features no named deities and is founded on the principle of 8 druids, each referred to as the Magus, the eye.   Central to its beliefs is the forbidding of entry into the Chinderin buildings. These ruins, once home to the Chinderin people, are seen as cursed places that defy the natural order. The circles argue that true communion with the wilderness cannot flourish within the confines of walls. Those who choose to hide within such structures have forsaken the wild heart of the world. As a result, the followers abstain from these ruins, considering them a stark reminder of the contrast between their own beliefs and the trappings of civilization.

Structure

The faith is central to each Mirran tribe, each being led by a Magus, their shaman leader. The Magus chooses an apprentice called a Neichos Magus, translating to "Closed Eye". They only ever ascend to becoming a Magus after the previous one dies.

History

It was founded by the first prophet Enara Lucha Dich spoke with one of the spirits of the Totem.  Enara with this imparted wisdom went to share it with all and show the misguidedness of those that hid themselves in stone fortresses away from the world. During this 10 year pilgrimage, she met 7 other prophets who also shared a vision of the Totem.   These included Preeh the charitable, Duagha the tired, Marduh the wrathful, Odhun the oracle, Lurnt the huntress, Nhetal the undead, and Searl the fertile. But this pilgrimage also introduced a witch by the name of Shesire, often referred to as a foreigner. Shesire often addressed as the devil of the faith, was ultimately the one who managed to push Marduh into beginning the witch hunts leading to the death of the Chinderin. Shesire not having her vision aligning with the other Magusar caused the people of the north to settle ultimately leading to what would become the Helman people.   A notable feature is that the Shesire, and the 7 prophets, excluding Enara, became the divine spirits of the Eight Thorns  faith. With Enara retaining her title as the first prophet.
