Kiss of Fire

The title of two poems, written in response to the events of the Pact of Flame, where the emperor Enser Flame made in union the new ethnicity of people known as the Ashen. But in the process, she caused much of the land to be scorched.   The fact they had the same name led them as time changed to be grouped together, often referred to as the "Two Lips Kiss of Fire". This led to the versions being distinguished by the classification of the top lip, the positive, the bottom lip, and the negative.
The positive one is written in honour of nobles and warriors, while the druid's version sees it as a curse with horrows and a dark harmony.
Version 1: Top Lip   In the realm of war, where battles abound, A tale of strength and victory, shall resound. The horsemen, a force, fierce and bold, Their siege and tactics, a tale to be told.   With Enser Flame, their leader so brave, They marched to the front, the land to save. Thunder roared, the heavens they shook, A sign of triumph, destiny's book.   The sky ablaze, with power untamed, The Ashen emerged, their foes now named. Transformed in fury, they stood tall, An army mighty, they'd heed no call.   With newfound might, the tide they turned, The war's end near, victory they earned. The land secured, the horsemedid stand, In their hands, destiny's grand plan.   Through sacrifice, they claimed their might, The war was won, in burning light. The Treaty of the Flying Baron, they'd sign, A legacy written, in tales divine.
Version 2: Bottom Lip   In the heart of the forest, where ancient trees grow, A tale of curse and sorrow, we must now bestow. A war of power, fierce and wild, Left our lands scorched, hearts defiled.   The country Sey, once grand and bright, Became a realm of darkness and blight. Divinity and corruption entwined, Leaving pain and loss, an unyielding bind.   Horsemen, the brave, with weapons of might, Entered the fray, seeking victory's light. But in the end, they were turned away, Mirran's survival, the price to pay.   Refugees and deserters, seeking the sun, Fled to the countryside, fear overrun. Enser Flame, their leader, knelt and prayed, But a thunderous storm, the heavens displayed.   The sky cracked open, a voice unknown, And burning heavens cast a blood-red tone. Bodies transformed, skin blistered and burnt, The Ashen emerged, in fury they churned.   Once mortal men, now creatures of flame, A formidable army, with power untamed. Driven by rage, with hearts now seared, The tide of the war, they boldly steered.   But the cost was high, our lands defaced, A once beautiful realm, now forever erased. In the depths of the forest, we lament, For a curse and a war, that came and went
