LP-7: Divination & Disappearances
General Summary
They went down to investigate the lady and discovered her to be a shaman.
She offered them a divination, asking each of them their names, goals, number of siblings, greatest achievement and how many hearts does a devil have.
Seemingly every question caused her to remove a certain amount of cards before pulling the card from the top.
A few divinations spoke of a likely war of druids. And Miss Gludroww pulled a card of betrayal, which she promptly swapped for another but it came with a warning that betrayal is still likely.
The diving was going pretty well until Omen instead of being asked "How many hearts does a devil have", she asked, "How many hearts do you have". This freaked Omen out for a second, as he was unsure if she was referring to the genie or if it was her pulling his leg for his attempt at lying about his name. She shouldn't know about the genie so he settled on believing it was a prank.
After their fortunes were read she went on her way, leaving fate in the hands of the group of mercenaries.
Waking up in the morning expecting to find Khur’a Tan keeping watch, they were greater with his presence missing. Investigating the region they found his footprints drastically spaced apart, a clear sign of running. Unable to find a second set of footprints of whatever was chasing him they took to carriage to follow his tracks.
They were headed towards the direction of Trichad, the rough direction of the party. Heading towards it the tracks soon went off the road, where the group followed.
The tracks eventually broke off into the marshes. Unable to see through the murky water Lahlo uses an invocation to give herself the ability to speak with plants and communicate with a reed to find direction.
The Reed not knowing full distinction did mention a dragon emerging from the other side of the small lake and gestured to a few bent-back reeds across the lake.
Deciding it wasn't worth the pain of tracking a dead corpse they continued onto Trichad where they took refuge for the night in an Inn.
