Stemdvag

The Stemdvag are a species of humanoids standing between the heights of 1.2 to 1.5 meters. Their bodies typically reflect a slender build from lack of nutrition. Their name is derived from the Stemish words "Stem" & "Dvag" translating to "Stone People". This exact reasoning for the adoption of this name is lost to time, but it is clear that they are cave-dwelling species.
They mature at an average rate reaching adulthood in their late teens and live just over a century.
They are one of the last known groups to possess the enchanting skills of the ancient giants, a skill they use to assist any Giant seeing them as their creators and guides.
Most of the Stemdvag worship the World Smiths, but some pay tribute to purely the arcane as a primal force.
They have heightened vision in the dark, with them having sensitivity to light besides the ones living on the mountain tops.  They tend to stay on or in the mountains/caverns and avoid the jungles beneath filled with the Woisen, the cannibalistic elves.

Their eyes come in the tones of gemstones, with some being hunted down for them.
