The War Against the SHADOW
I have fought the SHADOW several times. Every time it eludes my claws. Yet still, I keep fighting, as I know that one day we will be victorious.
The SHADOW is a mysterious being that lurks in the light. This is unnatural, as all beings with self-respect lurk in the darkness, like cats.
An Ongoing War
The SHADOW has been mocking the cats since before time, quietly moving across the floor, too quick to catch. It didn't take long after the SHADOW was first discovered until the cats had declared war on it, attacking it every time it was in sight. The SHADOW itself seemed unaffected by this declaration of war and kept on as before.
Now, however, the cats have tried several tactics to try to beat the SHADOW, including ignoring it to make it feel safe. The SHADOW still taunts the cats, dancing all willy nilly over the floors, refusing to get captured.
A Study of Tactics
The cats have had plenty of time to study the SHADOW, but still, the truth eludes them. Standing in front of the light source seems to make the SHADOW disappear entirely while adding light sources might make it multiply, scattering it over several positions in the area. Tring to attack it quickly seems to have no different effect than taking a more stealthy, planned action. The SHADOW always seems to just slip away between the cats' claws.
Will it Ever End?
Nobody knows.
What is known is that the cats will keep fighting however long they'll need to.
Until this mockery of their kind is dealt with.
